In this position, you will handle all warehouse transactions within the management systems, ensuring the efficient receipt, organization, storage, and planning of customer orders. Collaboration with warehouse personnel, office staff, and management is essential. Effective communication, technical proficiency, and the ability to meet time-sensitive objectives are crucial. You must maintain composure under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and solve problems effectively. A high degree of accuracy and dedication is expected.

Working Hours: 14:00-22:00 - Any 5 from 7 (Weekend and Bank Holiday work is required)

Compensation: £28,500

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in effective communication with a diverse range of individuals, including both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize your knowledge and experience of Wincanton's warehouse operations to meet the established supply chain objectives.
  • Contribute significantly to the efficient management of all operational processes within the warehouse.
  • Plan all inbound and outbound volumes in alignment with operational capabilities.
  • Coordinate with various departments to facilitate on-site decision-making regarding order flow through the management systems.
  • Prioritize operations to ensure optimal availability, considering factors such as dispatch planning, service levels, and lead times.
  • Ensure that all drivers are informed of site regulations and adhere to them throughout their presence on-site.
  • Accurately collect, file, and disseminate operational data in the form of reports and on-site displays.
  • Verify the accuracy of all outbound dispatch loads at the point of sealing.
  • Actively participate in the enhancement of operational processes.
  • Take responsibility for your own health and safety, as well as that of others while on-site.

Required Experience, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Demonstrate flexibility and a positive response to requests from both internal and external customers.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems in a distribution context.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, capable of creating spreadsheets and databases.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, able to engage with individuals at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment and meeting tight deadlines.
