Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Gray Healthcare. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, disabilities, and long-term conditions in their own homes.

About the Role:

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to an individual with Paranoid Schizophrenia and Learning Disabilities. You will work closely with the individual to develop a bespoke support package, tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing encouragement and support to the individual with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
  • Implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.
  • Supporting the individual with behaviours that may be considered challenging.
  • Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive support package.

Requirements:

  • Experience in social care, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia.
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months.
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
