The Role

As a Product Manager at Davies Technology Solutions [DTS], you will play a crucial role in connecting the product strategy established by the Director of Product and Senior Product Manager with the development teams tasked with product creation.

Serving as the customer advocate, you will ensure that the product aligns with user requirements and the overarching product vision. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and quality assurance, to define, prioritize, and deliver product features that fulfill user needs and drive business success.

This position is classified as Hybrid, requiring attendance in our office on a bi-weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Backlog Oversight: Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog, detailing user stories, features, and technical tasks based on stakeholder input and guidance from the Senior Product Manager.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate closely with the Senior Product Manager to comprehend the product vision and objectives, translating them into clear, actionable requirements for the development teams.
  • User Story Development: Define and document user stories with explicit acceptance criteria, ensuring that development teams fully understand the deliverables.
  • Sprint Coordination: Engage in sprint planning sessions, collaborating with development teams to prioritize backlog items for each sprint and ensuring alignment with the product roadmap.
  • User Insights: Serve as the primary contact for user feedback and feature requests, prioritizing them appropriately within the product backlog.
  • Development Collaboration: Act as the liaison for the development team, providing guidance and clarification on product requirements.
  • Communication: Maintain transparent communication with development teams, addressing inquiries and clarifications related to user stories throughout the development cycle.
  • Acceptance Evaluation: Conduct acceptance testing of delivered features to ensure they meet the established criteria and align with user expectations.
  • Release Coordination: Collaborate with the Senior Product Manager and Product Delivery Manager to plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring timely delivery of product increments.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with stakeholders, including customers and end-users, to gather feedback, validate requirements, and ensure the product meets their needs.
  • Continuous Enhancement: Continuously refine and enhance the product development process, incorporating feedback and lessons learned from each iteration.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager, preferably within a software development or IT services environment
  • Experience in enhancing products through innovative technologies such as AI, ML, and RPA is essential
  • Proficiency in creating and managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, or similar for backlog management.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies, with knowledge of Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality products that meet user needs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
