Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Building Project Coordinator to join our team at Dutton Recruitment. This position involves conducting thorough inspections to identify the root causes of structural issues within various properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed assessments of buildings to diagnose defects and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Generate work orders in accordance with established guidelines and specifications.
  • Assist in the formulation of comprehensive reports for upper management, focusing on policy and strategic implications.
  • Manage cases related to fire, flood, or collision insurance claims.
  • Support the Legal Disrepair and Diagnostics Manager in creating and refining policies and procedures for the Repairs Service.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance evaluations on ongoing or completed projects.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of relevant legislation, Building Regulations, and industry standards.
  • Accurately document all project-related information to facilitate effective project management.
  • Source and evaluate quotations and tenders in compliance with procurement protocols.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with the organization's commitment to quality and value.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and organizational policies.
  • Deliver services that meet the diverse needs of the community, particularly for underrepresented groups.
  • Fulfill additional reasonable duties as assigned by the Diagnostic Surveying Manager.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Higher National Diploma in Building or equivalent qualifications, along with demonstrable experience in building surveying.
  • Proven supervisory capabilities and experience in managing technical workloads.
  • Strong ability to conduct surveys and identify defects in various types of properties.
  • Competence in preparing and certifying payments to contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for data management and communication.
  • Familiarity with industry codes of practice and contract management.
