Job Duties:

The SEN Specialist Tutor will provide tailored academic support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis. This includes creating individualized learning plans, implementing specialized teaching techniques, and monitoring progress regularly.

Required Qualifications:

A relevant teaching qualification

Experience working with students with SEN

Strong understanding of different learning styles and needs

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in SEN support

Experience in conducting assessments and writing progress reports

Working Conditions:

This role will involve working closely with students in their homes. The ability to travel to different locations may be required. The work hours are typically during school hours, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
