ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work in a dynamic manufacturing environment operating around the clock. This position, which follows a Monday to Friday schedule, involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- 75% reactive maintenance and 25% planned maintenance.
- Providing specialized support for maintenance and repair challenges.
- Inspecting machinery and components, performing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Managing small-scale projects.
Additionally, you will participate in the integration of new systems, machine upgrades, and ensuring operational compliance with health and safety standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer with a background in food production.
You may be a Field Service Engineer looking to transition to a single-site role or a Maintenance Technician seeking new opportunities.
We welcome applicants regardless of formal qualifications, whether you hold a BTEC, C&G, NVQ Level 3, or have gained experience through apprenticeships or on-the-job training.
- Experience in servicing and repairing various production plant systems, including conveyors, elevators, and ancillary services.
- Familiarity with flour or feed milling and medium to heavy industrial plant systems, including boilers and compressors.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
You should possess a solid work ethic and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
