Main Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Clinical Governance: Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior medical staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality care to patients.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the development of community mental health services, ensuring that they are responsive to the needs of patients and carers.
  • Clinical Expertise: Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Education and Training: Participate in the education and training of junior medical staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Research and Quality Improvement: Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that our services are evidence-based and of the highest quality.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: CCT or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry.
  • Experience: Significant experience in community mental health services, including experience of working with patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Skills: Excellent clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders. Strong leadership and communication skills.
