Vehicle Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team at a market-leading car dealership group. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle maintenance and repair, testing, diagnosing, and resolving faults, working on electrical and mechanical systems, inspecting components for wear and tear, repairing and replacing parts, and checking vehicle subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair using technical knowledge
  • Test, diagnose, and resolve faults
  • Work on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Inspect components for wear and tear
  • Repair and replace parts
  • Check vehicle subsystems
  • Support other technicians in the workshop
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Current valid MOT licence (advantageous but not essential)
  • Capability of working to the highest quality standards and efficiency targets
  • Great team player and communication skills
  • Can-do, positive attitude
