We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at YHA Brecon Beacons. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the hostel manager in the day-to-day operational management of the hostel and delivering an excellent customer experience.

• Support the hostel manager in achieving targets across all aspects of the hostel operation, including food and beverage, and maximising revenue while controlling expenditure.
• Manage a team of employees and occasional volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
• Contribute to the team effort in the day-to-day operation of the hostel, undertaking housekeeping, reception, and food and beverage tasks as needed.

• Flexibility to cover different shifts and tasks, with the ability to work under pressure and manage varying workloads.
• Previous leadership experience and experience managing budgets, with a strong understanding of financial management and control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Knowledge and understanding of YHA's core purpose and values, with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and promoting the YHA brand.
