Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct thorough measurements and valuations of work completed on-site to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project outcomes.
  • Assess and certify subcontractor payments and variations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor and manage project cash flow to ensure timely invoicing and payments.
  • Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management to inform business decisions.
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of final accounts to ensure accurate financial closure.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations and company procedures to maintain a high level of quality and professionalism.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the groundworks or civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel and QS software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field, such as a BSc in Quantity Surveying or a RICS accredited degree.
  • A full UK driving license is preferred.
