Procurement Manager

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Associate Procurement Manager to join a public sector organisation based in Bradford on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established procurement team and contribute to the attainment of value for money on a diverse portfolio of strategic tenders, contract management, and procurement-related projects across various categories.
Key Responsibilities:- Relationship Management: Manage effective relationships with senior managers, internal stakeholders, and key suppliers to meet customer needs.
- Tender Management: Manage the tender process from identification of need through to contract award, incorporating commercial procurement techniques and procedures to deliver best value procurement solutions.
- Compliance: Ensure the tender process complies with good purchasing practice.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Motivate and influence stakeholders at all levels, working with contract owners to manage suppliers' performance and deliver agreed goals and objectives.
- Contract Optimization: Promote corporate contracts and framework agreements that represent best value, reducing off-contract spend to a minimum where appropriate.
- Procurement Experience: Proven experience of leading procurement projects in a large and complex organisation.
- Public Sector Knowledge: Knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and regulations.
- Contract Management: Knowledge of contract law and ability to manage contractual matters.
- Tendering Experience: Experience tendering within a cross-functional team.
- Procurement Solutions: Experience of a wide range of procurement quote and tendering solutions.
- Contract Management: Proven ability to manage a suite of contracts and tenders using own initiative.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail.
- Certification: CIPS Level 4.
