About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Deputy Mechanic, supporting the Head Mechanic in maintaining our fleet of machinery. As a key member of our Greenkeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our golf courses and living landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of failing equipment
  • Communicate with the Head Mechanic regarding repairs, stock requests, and general servicing
  • Undertake welding and fabrication as required
  • Repair and maintain two-stroke and four-stroke engines
  • Repair and replace tyres and other parts
  • Order parts and maintain accurate service records
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Responsible for waste disposal and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Working Arrangements

This role involves working 1 in 2 weekends throughout the summer, with paid overtime. During the winter, this will change to 1 in 3 weekends, working off a lieu hours basis.

About You

We are looking for a skilled and experienced mechanic who is passionate about their work and able to work independently and as part of a team. Intermediate training or experience is required for this role, although an interest in mechanics or golf is desirable. Previous experience in the greenkeeping industry is also an advantage.
