Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team in Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

About the Role:
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients in Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex medical conditions.
  • Lead clinical teams, including junior staff, to ensure high-quality patient care and effective team functioning.
  • Contribute to the development of our clinical services, including the design and implementation of new care pathways and the evaluation of existing services.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in education and training programs to maintain and develop your clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
  • Registered as a non-medical prescriber and actively practicing.
  • Minimum of master's in Advanced Clinical Practice with a recognised Higher Education Institution or evidence of demonstrable competence across all ACP domains.
  • Demonstrable evidence in a portfolio of embedding ACP into clinical practice.
  • Skills training relevant to the role, including competency and capability-based skill documents for paediatric cardiac intensive care.
  • Experience of working in a children's healthcare environment, including intensive care, high dependency, rapid assessment, A&E, or similar.
  • Ability to articulate a personal philosophy for Advanced Clinical Practice and describe a personal 5-year plan.
