Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pathologist Leader to join our team at IQVIA. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for maintaining an orderly calendar of Pathologist coverage for all assays, providing performance evaluations and ongoing feedback to Pathologists, and approving absences for illness/vacation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calendar Management: Maintain a comprehensive calendar of Pathologist coverage for all assays, ensuring seamless coverage and minimizing disruptions to our laboratory operations.
  • Performance Evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to Pathologists, helping them to meet their goals and maintain their competencies.
  • Absence Management: Approve absences for illness/vacation, ensuring that our laboratory operations are not impacted and that our Pathologists are able to take the time they need to recharge.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report to the Chief Pathologist on strategic goals and routine progress in project delivery, and communicate effectively with our laboratory team to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Employment Management: Determine the need for and execute on employment changes related to hiring/termination/promotion of Pathologist staff, ensuring that our laboratory team is equipped to meet the needs of our clients.
Requirements
  • Education: Other Medical degree or foreign equivalent at the Licensed Physician level and certification in anatomic pathology.
  • Experience: Typically requires 7-10 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Preferred experience working in a reference lab, clinical research organization, and/or clinical trials.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent client management and problem resolution skills, knowledge of PC applications, high ethical standards, ability to meet average industry performance metrics, and proficiency in routine histopathology testing, immunohistochemistry (IHC), cytogenetics (In-situ hybridization) testing procedures, and applicable laboratory testing regulations.
