Job Summary:


As a Tanker Assembly Technician, you will be a key member of our proficient workshop team.

Your main duties will involve mechanical assembly, along with diagnosing and rectifying hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on tankers. You will operate in a fast-paced environment where precision and meticulousness are crucial.

This position presents an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and enhance the safety and dependability of tanker vehicles.


Primary Responsibilities:

Mechanical Assembly:
Construct, modify, and repair tanker structures and components utilizing a variety of mechanical tools and techniques. Ensure all fittings and fixtures are installed accurately and comply with safety regulations.

Hydraulic Systems:
Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems employed in tankers, including pumps, hoses, and valves. Experience with vehicle or plant hydraulics is highly advantageous.

Pneumatic Systems:
Work on the pneumatic systems of tankers, ensuring the proper operation of air brakes and other pneumatic controls. Familiarity with vehicle pneumatics is beneficial.

Electrical Systems:
Assist in the installation and repair of electrical components, including wiring, lighting, and control systems. Knowledge of vehicle electrics is a plus.

Quality Control:
Perform thorough inspections and testing of completed work to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Record Keeping:
Maintain precise documentation of all repairs and modifications, including parts utilized and time spent on each task.

Safety Standards:
Comply with all health and safety regulations, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications:

Experience:
Prior experience in mechanical assembly is essential. Knowledge and experience in vehicle/plant hydraulics, pneumatics, and vehicle electrics are desirable.

Skills:
Strong technical abilities, with a solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Attention to Detail:
Diligent in your work, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Team Collaboration:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment.
