Our Electrical Division

We specialize in electrical safety, carrying out hundreds of essential Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and other critical inspections for our customers every day. We are also a leading specialist Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider, managing the end-to-end installation and ongoing routine safety examinations.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Test Engineer to join our team in the Greater Manchester area. As a Housing Electrical Test Engineer for BES Electrical, you will carry out electrical testing within the social housing industry. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking high-quality electrical repairs, testing, and remedial works as required.
  • Complying with BS7671 standards and company standards of work performance, ensuring implementation and compliance within electrical policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring implementation and compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Attending Toolbox Talks and in-house training on a monthly basis.
  • Utilizing our CRM system and reporting software to accurately record electrical documentation.
  • Carrying out electrical condition reporting, repairs, and installations to the highest standards.
  • Liaising with tenants, customers, and members of our supply chain.
  • Maintaining van stocks and providing information enabling the improvement of first-time fixes for the area you work within.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a positive, diverse, and inclusive attitude to both internal and external customers and colleagues. You should be flexible, hard-working, and conscientious, with relevant experience and qualifications, including NVQ Level 3 Qualification in electrical installation work, City & Guilds Inspection and Testing, and a good level of computer literacy. A full driving license held for 12 months is also required.
