Senior Property Claims Specialist

About the Role: Stride Resource Management Ltd is undergoing a transformative phase, focusing on enhancing service delivery and integrating innovative digital solutions for our clientele. We are seeking a Technical Property Claims Consultant to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical guidance to refine the company's approach to managing both Domestic and Commercial Property claims, typically valued up to £1M.
- Develop and enhance the control framework for managing expenditures related to Property claims.
- Conduct thorough quality assessments to ensure adherence to established scoping guidelines and standards.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of claims remotely, addressing cases of varying complexity and value.
Collaboration: Establishing robust relationships with internal Claims Operations, Underwriters, and Supply Chain partners is essential. You will ensure compliance with applicable legislation, stay updated on market trends, and adapt to fluctuations in the construction sector, including cost and inflation considerations.
Technical Support: Provide essential technical assistance to internal Claims Handling teams and aid in the management of intricate building claims. You will typically handle 10-20 referrals weekly, utilizing your expertise to resolve straightforward inquiries swiftly or tackle more complex and contentious issues that may require extended resolution times.
Additional Duties: Investigate complaints, conduct site assessments when necessary, and make informed recommendations to resolve claims. During peak periods, you will play a vital role in supporting both Operational and Field teams.
Qualifications: To qualify for this position, you should possess significant experience in managing large and complex retail and commercial property claims. A profound understanding of construction principles, general insurance policies, and claims validation is essential. Familiarity with scoping and project management tools, as well as knowledge of the subsidence claims process, will be advantageous.
Skills: A strong grasp of construction pathology, pricing, design, and defect analysis is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial for effective engagement with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Compensation: The role offers a competitive salary of up to £50K, along with a car/car allowance and a comprehensive benefits package. The position provides significant flexibility, allowing for remote work while also accommodating necessary client site visits.
