Job Title: History Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated History teacher to join our team at a brilliant school in Barnet. As a specialist recruitment agency with over 20 years of experience in the education field, we are dedicated to providing the best talent to our clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching History and possess strong subject knowledge. They will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, inspiring students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the subject.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive History lessons to primary/secondary school students.
  • Create and implement a well-structured curriculum that aligns with educational standards and school objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique needs of each student.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance to facilitate growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings, sharing best practices and contributing to curriculum development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Establish effective communication channels with students, parents, and guardians, keeping them informed of student progress and addressing any concerns or inquiries in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in History or a related field, along with relevant teaching certifications.
  • Proven experience as a History teacher, preferably in a primary/secondary school setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the History curriculum and the ability to develop engaging lesson plans.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Effective organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with educational technology tools.
