The Role
We are seeking a talented Multi-Skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative team at our state-of-the-art bakery. You will play a vital role in maintaining both mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring smooth operations within our high-volume production environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including bulk handling systems, processing machinery, packaging lines, site services, and PLC control systems.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently, utilizing your engineering expertise to develop robust solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing plant reliability, reducing downtime, and optimizing energy efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with production, safety, and hygiene teams to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within a manufacturing setting, preferably within the food industry.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations, including PUWER and IOSH.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a shift team in a 24/7 operation.
- Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, BTEC, or equivalent).
