About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Gloucestershire County Council as a Traffic Regulation Order Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our city's transportation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) in accordance with legislation and design standards.
  • Prepare reports, manage correspondence, and assist in public engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and legal services to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Provide supervision to junior members of the team and undertake site visits to audit completed site works.
  • Commission TRO work to other consultants and manage relationships to ensure successful project outcomes.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who possesses comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of TRO work, including interpreting and applying highway legislation and regulations.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to make logical and rational decisions. Experience in building productive relationships with other teams to ensure that highway projects meet their objectives is essential.
