Position: Children's Care Assistant

Location: Epsom and Ewell, Reigate & Banstead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to children with epilepsy and special needs throughout their school day.
  • Administer nutrition and medications in accordance with safety protocols for the well-being of the children.
  • Assist with daily routines and personal hygiene, ensuring a secure and tidy environment.
  • Establish positive connections with children to promote their social and emotional growth.
  • Work alongside educators and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care.
  • Oversee school excursions to ensure a safe and inclusive experience for all participants.
  • Keep detailed records of children's development, behavior, and health requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting children with epilepsy and special needs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with epilepsy and its effects on children's everyday activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Empathetic care and emotional support for children with varying needs.
  • Awareness of health and safety standards and safeguarding protocols.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as work independently.
  • Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and resilience in challenging scenarios.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
  • Possession of a valid working with children check or the ability to obtain one.
