They are in search of a Certified Building Surveyor to enhance their expanding team. The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of projects, delivering expert guidance while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Needs Assessment Collaborate in identifying client needs and performing feasibility assessments to evaluate project potential.
- Condition Surveys Conduct a range of surveys and inspections to assess building conditions and pinpoint necessary repairs or enhancements.
- Documentation & Specifications Develop and produce comprehensive specifications for works, along with tender and contract documentation.
- Project Management Liaise with design team members and project stakeholders to facilitate seamless project delivery.
- Contract Management Serve as the Employer's Agent and oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with established terms.
- Site Evaluations Perform site visits to evaluate current conditions and determine future project requirements.
- Reporting & Analysis Prepare detailed reports and necessary documentation, including plans, contracts, and budgets.
- Project Monitoring Assess site activities and generate progress reports focusing on timelines, quality, and cost factors of projects.
- Party Wall Advisory Provide guidance on the Party Wall Etc Act, acting as an appointed surveyor when required.
- Regulatory Compliance Ensure adherence to the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, acting as Principal Designer when necessary.
Qualifications
- Chartered status (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in building surveying, construction project management, or a similar role.
Skills & Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of building regulations, construction methodologies, and safety standards.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in report writing and document preparation.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
