Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Pastry Chef Assistant to join our Pastry Kitchen team at Change Hospitality. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Pastry Chef in managing all food production, supervising the preparation of regular food items, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in managing all food production, including the preparation of regular food items, daily specials, and banqueting events.
  • Supervise the Pastry Kitchen team to ensure that all food production meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Check all food deliveries for quality and maintain close liaison with the Purchasing Department.
  • Encourage and support members of the Pastry Kitchen team by motivating them and providing guidance and feedback.
  • Complete departmental timesheets, ensuring that all absenteeism, sickness, holidays, and overtime are properly recorded and authorized.
  • Contribute to maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirements of the LQA standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain high standards of quality and service.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
