Position Overview

Our client is in search of a skilled Backend Software Engineer to become a vital member of their technology team, contributing significantly to the development and upkeep of their online applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to architect, develop, and deploy robust and scalable web applications tailored for ecommerce platforms.
  • Focus on backend programming, ensuring smooth integration between the client-side interface and server-side functionalities.
  • Participate in code evaluations, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and uphold coding standards to ensure high-quality code.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues, conduct testing, and provide prompt solutions to reported challenges.
  • Remain informed about industry trends and innovations, and actively share ideas to improve the overall development workflow.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of Python and Flask for backend programming.
  • Familiarity with contemporary web development methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems, ideally Git.
  • Prior experience in a retail or ecommerce-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and automated testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic work setting.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
  • Understanding of REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Professional experience in a production-level development environment.
