The role of the Project Engineer at Next Geosolutions is to provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from bid/tender stage to project execution. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for offering high-level technical support during mobilisation, operations, and demobilisation. You will work closely with the Project Managers to prepare for client meetings, resolve technical disputes, and address daily operational queries from the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing technical specifications during tender and operational activities to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Providing technical support to the commercial team during tender preparation and operations.
- Collaborating with the asset manager to select suitable survey equipment and ensuring its effective use.
- Supporting the P&L team in selecting the right personnel for specific project requirements.
- Offering expert advice and clarity on project specifications and scopes of work to ensure successful project delivery.
- Acting as the technical authority and supporting the Project Manager during technical disputes with clients or equipment suppliers.
- Reviewing and providing insights on meeting minutes and technical spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Attending regular technical meetings to provide input and support to the project team.
Requirements
- Experience in an offshore role is highly desirable.
- A degree or relevant experience in a survey-based discipline is essential.
- Strong working relationships with Tender Teams and Project Managers/Operational teams are crucial.
- Ability to work with blue-chip, high-profile clients is a must.
