Position: Advanced Clinical Support Apprentice

Full-time position: 37 hours per week

Fixed-term training contract for 2 years

Salary Band 3: £25,362 - £27,486 (Annex 21)

NHS Grampian is actively seeking to recruit several Advanced Clinical Support Apprentices within various nursing teams across both hospital and community environments, including acute care, health and social care partnerships, mental health, and learning disabilities.

In collaboration with Medical and Nursing professionals and the Practice Education Team, the Apprentice will receive support to learn how to provide high-quality care to patients while working towards obtaining a recognized qualification that will facilitate their development into a future career in Healthcare.

Successful candidates will be engaged on a 2-year training contract and will participate in a structured training program aimed at achieving the SVQ Healthcare Support (clinical) qualification at SCQF level 7. Completion of this training will enable progression into a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker role.

Applicants should exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, enthusiasm, the ability to collaborate with others, and a positive attitude towards learning.

A compassionate and caring disposition is essential, along with the capability to perform practical tasks with precision and accuracy. This role is diverse, engaging, and rewarding, and NHS Grampian is eager to support a young individual who possesses the potential and drive to become a valued team member.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must possess five National 5 qualifications at Grade A, B, or C (or equivalent SCQF Level 5 / 6) in English / ESOL, Mathematics, a Science, and two additional subjects of their choice.
