Your Role:
This position offers an exciting opportunity within a vibrant team, where you will engage with a diverse range of clients in audit and financial reporting.
As a client-facing role, it demands exceptional communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to cultivate enduring professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
You will be instrumental in managing deadlines, addressing technical accounting and audit inquiries, and overseeing the work of team members.
Your contributions will be vital in ensuring clients fulfill their regulatory reporting obligations, which includes actively participating in the planning, execution, and completion of audit and financial reporting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively plan assignments, ensuring the allocation of appropriate resources, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee the execution of assignments to guarantee smooth operations, adherence to timelines, and budget compliance, while addressing any issues that may arise.
- Delegate tasks to team members, fostering their development through support and coaching.
- Assist in the management of trainee files and their development, including regular check-ins and workload management.
- Maintain clear communication with clients to set expectations and introduce team members involved in assignments.
- Review team members' work to ensure compliance with firm procedures and readiness for director review.
- Complete all sections of audit files for review and sign-off.
- Review audit sections prepared by trainees to facilitate a smoother review process.
- Prepare technical assessments regarding accounting, audit, and tax treatments based on applicable legislation and standards.
- Compile complex financial statements and business tax computations for director review.
- Engage in specific projects as needed, including budgeting and due diligence.
- Build and maintain client relationships to ensure timely advice and support.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Promote best practices across the firm through effective training and communication.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Develop specialized knowledge through relevant continuing professional development.
- Adhere to regulatory, legal, professional, and ethical standards in all engagements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience in a similar role within a professional services environment.

- ACCA/ACA/CA qualified, with a preference for first-time passes.
- Familiarity with IRIS is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and relevant tax legislation.
- Experience with audits in SMEs.
