Armament Supervisor Position Overview

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL is in search of a proficient and knowledgeable Armament Supervisor to oversee comprehensive maintenance operations on aircraft in accordance with approved protocols. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring airworthiness, delegating tasks, and managing authorizations. This position requires supervising a dedicated team responsible for preparing aircraft for routine flight operations and addressing any necessary rectifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of aircraft for daily flight operations and manage flight line activities throughout the operational day.
  • Lead maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of tasks while addressing any challenges that arise.
  • Exhibit a proactive and adaptable approach in fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Ensure staff competency and maintain task authorizations for aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Achieve set delivery targets and provide regular updates to management regarding progress.
  • Offer guidance and leadership while supporting training initiatives for team members.
  • Conduct essential inspections independently and coordinate maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of local Error Management Processes.
Performance Expectations
  • Establish delivery targets, track progress, and develop performance enhancement programs for Part 145 operations.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of all activities and maintain airworthiness records.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards, safety management systems, and legal requirements.
  • Promote compliance with procedures and standards while fostering a culture of safety within the team.
  • Ensure that maintenance activities align with the company’s governance and assurance framework.
  • Facilitate the integration of Part 145 operations within the organization and engage with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a minimum City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable role with necessary authorizations.
  • Comprehensive product knowledge and demonstrated competency.
  • Completion of relevant training courses such as Hawk Composite Flight Servicing Pass and Trade Q Course Pass.
  • Exemplary leadership abilities, awareness of human factors, and proficiency in IT.
