Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective media relations strategies to promote RWE AG's business activities in the UK. This will involve building and maintaining relationships with key media contacts, developing and disseminating press releases, and providing media training and support to senior executives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Media Relations
    • Develop and implement media relations strategies to promote RWE AG's business activities in the UK.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, including national and regional press, trade media, and online media.
    • Develop and disseminate press releases, media alerts, and other media materials to promote RWE AG's business activities.
  • Media Training and Support
    • Provide media training and support to senior executives to ensure they are equipped to handle media inquiries and interviews effectively.
    • Develop and deliver media engagement strategies to position RWE AG's UK top management in the media.
  • Media Monitoring and Analysis
    • Monitor media coverage of RWE AG's business activities in the UK and provide regular analysis and insights to senior executives.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage media coverage to promote RWE AG's business activities and reputation.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • University degree in a relevant field, such as communications, journalism, or public relations.
    • Several years of experience in media relations, communications, or a related field.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective media relations strategies.
    • Strong relationships with key media contacts and a deep understanding of the UK media landscape.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and media contacts.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and challenges in the media landscape.
