About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Systems Specialist to join our team at Croydon Council. As a key member of our Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of procurement systems that support the delivery of efficient and effective procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Systems Development: Develop and maintain procurement systems to capture and report on procurement and purchasing performance information.
  • Dashboard Development: Design and implement dashboards to provide real-time visibility into procurement and purchasing performance, enabling individual directorates to review their performance and compliance.
  • System Controls: Establish and maintain system controls to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • e-Tendering System Improvement: Continuously improve the functionality of the e-tendering system to support strategic procurement processes.
  • Oracle Fusion System Development: Develop and enhance Oracle Fusion system functionality to improve the purchase-to-pay process, including supplier self-registration and e-invoicing solutions.
Requirements
  • Procurement Experience: Proven experience in procurement and strategic procurement systems, with a strong understanding of P2P and procurement processes.
  • System Development: Experience in developing and implementing procurement systems, with a focus on process improvement and compliance.
  • Change Management: Strong understanding of change management principles and experience in implementing changes within a procurement context.
  • Public Sector Procurement: Experience working in public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this sector.
