About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-time Barista and Food Service Assistant at one of our prestigious educational institutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a range of food and beverages to customers, ensuring high-quality standards and excellent presentation.
  • Operate the till and process cashless payments, maintaining accurate records and handling customer transactions efficiently.
  • Stock and rotate stock, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Clean public areas and the back-of-house, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Barista training or experience is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings and afternoons, Monday to Friday.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • DBS clearance is required for this role.

  • A part-time schedule, with 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 2:30pm, term-time only.
