Job Description

**Senior Electrical Design Engineer Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our expanding team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical designs that meet project requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality electrical designs that meet project requirements and standards
  • Produce EPlan drawings suitable for use by the installation and service support teams
  • Produce technical documentation required to support other departments in the execution of their tasks
  • Proactively work with Engineering, procurement, project management, and installations to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and scope
  • Investigate and resolve any technical issues that are flagged within electrical design
  • Attend project sites to inspect the electrical installation against required standards
  • Support colleagues around the business, including attending customer meetings, customer sites, internal project meetings, and supplier meetings
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards and company H&S and Quality Procedures
  • Keep developing yourself and your skills to ensure your technical skills remain current

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering (Degree or HND/HNC with suitable relevant design experience)
  • Recent experience of EPlan P8
  • High competence in Electrical Design engineering, including conducting appropriate calculations, generating specifications, producing CAD drawings using EPlan, developing design concepts, and resolving technical design issues
  • Teamwork-focused individual with strong resilience and ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong can-do attitude and willingness to step in and help resolve complex problems when required
  • Strong eye for detail and a natural interest in understanding how equipment works
  • Someone who takes pride in producing a good-quality job and growing their team
  • Someone willing to spend time on project sites, client sites, and supplier sites as required to ensure we deliver our projects
