Working Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating shifts on a three-week cycle
  • Shift times: 07:00-16:00, 09:00-18:00, 10:00-19:00

Compensation:

  • £12.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and create bookings within the traffic management system, ensuring precise and timely processing.
  • Plan daily driver routes and ensure all documentation is accurately managed for each delivery and collection.
  • Prepare essential shipping documents, including invoices, purchase orders, and proof of delivery.
  • Update the traffic management system with tracking information and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the internal depot network to provide updates on freight movements.
  • Assist in resolving any transportation challenges that may occur.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and reporting tasks.
  • Ensure operational efficiency by adhering to established procedures, protocols, and schedules.
  • Comply with company health and safety regulations and standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Basic understanding of distribution planning principles and vehicle capacities.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to navigate multiple computer systems effectively.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with a talent for prioritizing tasks.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
