Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer Specialist to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

As a Radiographer Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert radiography services to patients, including plain film imaging and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff to ensure high standards of practice.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of imaging services policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc/Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography and current HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 12 months post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
  • Experience in leadership and management, with a proven track record of success.
