We are seeking a seasoned Senior Buyer to join our team at Invision Group, a leading residential developer in the South East. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our purchasing processes and driving cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including issuing enquiries, analyzing bids, and placing orders to meet project delivery schedules.
- Monitor and ensure the timely receipt of information and requisitions, proactively managing any delays and their impact on procurement.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide ongoing updates on procurement status and offer insights during the preconstruction phase.
- Ensure all purchase orders are accurate, detailed, and align with project specifications and site requirements.
- Verify that all materials purchased have the necessary certifications and approvals, ensuring compliance with design standards.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers, focusing on value for money, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Manage existing rebate agreements and identify opportunities for new ones, presenting proposals to the Purchasing Manager for approval.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential suppliers and oversee their integration into the business.
- Lead new buying initiatives, including commodity agreements, to deliver cost savings and enhance procurement efficiency.
- Support risk management within the procurement process, safeguarding the company's commercial reputation and mitigating potential risks.
- Proven experience as a Buyer in the construction or residential development sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A basic salary up to £65,000.
