Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Suppleo Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional learning difficulties (ALD) in a mainstream school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with ALD, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A relevant qualification in a related field would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • A valid enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate on the update service or a willingness to obtain one via Suppleo Education.
  • Introduction to Safeguarding – Available FREE via Suppleo Education.
