Merrifield Consultants is seeking an experienced Strategic Philanthropy Research Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Major Gifts and Philanthropy team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying funding priorities and developing strategies to achieve organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement research strategies to identify potential donors and funding opportunities
- Write compelling donor proposals and reports to secure significant donations from major donors and corporates
- Manage the Research and Information Executive and oversee the development of concept notes, proposals, and reports
- Ensure that donor communications and reports align with CAFOD's values and promote anti-racist messages
- Collaborate with the Trusts and Foundations Team to ensure income growth and organisational priorities are met
- Proven experience in writing donor proposals and securing funds for significant donations
- Specialist prospect research skills and knowledge of research resources
- Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills to influence senior staff
- Ability to translate complex information into engaging donor communications and reports
- Experience of developing strategies in line with organisational priorities
