About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to join our team at Permanent Futures. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our environmental strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and driving sustainability initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental strategies, compliance processes, and procedures to minimize our environmental footprint.
  • Lead key projects, including a new plant installation, to reduce carbon use, food waste, energy consumption, and water usage.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive key outputs and support certification to ISO 14001.
  • Work with the Site SHE Manager to develop a positive environmental culture through education, training, and coaching.
  • Provide insights to drive environmental performance improvement through the Carbon Desktop and Waste and Effluent Management targets.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities for the SHE Manager/Site Management teams to deliver upon projects and achieve targets.
  • Deliver environmental reporting information and provide recommendations to inform management decisions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an environmental-focused role, preferably in an FMCG/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with partnerships and giving presentations/facilitating workshops.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation and report writing skills.
