Barker Ross is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer in Hatfield.

Job Details:

Location: Hatfield, AL10

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Start: ASAP

Duration: Temp to Perm

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.50hrs/week (working as part of weekly rota and call-out rota)

Salary: £31,700/annum

Overtime: Available (including evenings and weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out large redecoration works
  • Repairing building fabric
  • Changing locks
  • Replacing filters
  • Performing minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
  • Moving furniture and equipment
  • Carrying out tiling work
  • Maintaining footpaths
  • Clearing gutters
  • Changing filters on air conditioning systems
  • Supervising contractors to ensure they follow safe systems of work
  • Completing regular safety checks

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Completing all preventative planned maintenance checks
  • Weekly fire alarm testing
  • Water temperature testing
  • Fire door checks
  • Emergency light testing
  • Fire extinguisher and fire blanket checks
  • Communal lighting checks
  • Undertaking building audits

Requirements:

  • Electrical, plumbing, or decorating skills
  • Experience of working in a similar role within the sector
