Job Summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mobile Powered Access Engineer to join their team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of mobile powered access equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and truck mount cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on mobile powered access equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Perform thorough inspections and testing to identify and address any issues or defects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and implement control measures to minimize hazards.
  • Provide training on safe operation and supervise personnel using the equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, repairs, and training.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and seek opportunities to enhance equipment performance and safety.
Requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge of mobile powered access equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other elevated work platforms.
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • IPAF certification for mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs).
  • LOLER certification for thorough examinations of lifting equipment.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours and travel to customer sites.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Relevant certification in mobile powered access equipment maintenance and repair is desirable, CAP (Certified Access Professional) certification preferred.
