Job Title: Customs Manager
Job Summary:
E3 Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Customs Manager to join our client, a world-leading Chemical Manufacturer. As a Customs Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of relevant trade compliance, anticipating and communicating impact and risk on the business of any developing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of relevant trade compliance, including updating and implementing compliance strategies and policies to ensure adherence to relevant international regulations.
- Stay informed with international trade regulations, laws, and sanctions to maintain a global perspective on compliance.
- Implement management strategies to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Work closely with engineers, regulatory, and research teams to determine the correct Harmonized System (HS) codes for various products imported into the UK and EU.
- Utilize knowledge of trade agreements to optimize duty and tax obligations, as well as identifying opportunities to leverage free trade agreements and other relevant facilitation programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Trade, Global Tax, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant discipline.
- Experience working with Dutch and UK authorities related to UK and EU regulations is highly desirable.
- Full SAP knowledge and experience.
