We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our critical database infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor DB2 databases, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Implement and enforce robust database policies and procedures to safeguard data integrity and availability.
  • Oversee database backups and disaster recovery processes using Cohesity.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve database issues promptly.
  • Contribute to the design and deployment of secure and efficient database storage structures, backup systems, and security frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with database vendor license agreements, including regular updates and patching.
  • Provide technical support for resolving database connectivity and performance issues for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation and reports on database status, job queues, performance metrics, and other relevant data.
Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of DB2 database management technologies and experience in managing virtualized environments. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python is highly desirable.

  • Deep understanding of DB2 database management systems.
  • Experience working with VMware and virtualization technologies.
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation and database administration tasks.
  • Familiarity with both Windows Server and Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of NetApp SAN and Cohesity backup solutions.
