About the Role

We are seeking a talented and creative Senior Children's Designer to contribute to our vibrant Campbell list. This diverse collection features engaging novelty books for children aged 0-6.

As a Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our books. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire design process, from conceptualization to final artwork, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with design colleagues, editorial teams, production specialists, and sales representatives to develop innovative and educational novelty books for young readers.
  • Maintain a consistent and high standard of design across existing series, taking ownership of large-scale projects.
  • Contribute fresh ideas and deliver new titles that captivate children's imaginations.
  • Manage the creative process from inception to final artwork, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to project specifications.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges, interpret feedback effectively, and propose innovative design solutions.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A deep understanding of novelty format design principles.
  • Proven experience as a Designer in the children's book publishing industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and concise collaboration with colleagues.
  • The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, managing multiple projects effectively.
  • A strong commercial awareness, understanding the market trends and target audience for children's books.
