About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing complex statutory and financial statements, tax returns, and VAT returns for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of complex financial statements and tax returns
  • Assist with client queries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Research accounting issues and provide expert advice to clients
  • Liaise with HMRC and clients, attending meetings and helping with queries
  • Coaching and supporting junior members of the team
  • Support with general accountancy services and business advice
  • Work closely with senior team members to achieve business objectives

Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths
  • A-levels at grades B and above
  • Some UK practice experience
  • Good basic knowledge across accountancy services
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
