Job Summary:
AS Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Technician to join our team. As a Reinsurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate application of reinsurance recoveries to our reinsurance program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply reinsurance recoveries to the reinsurance program, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and distribute reinsurance netting down and large loss reports to relevant stakeholders, providing detailed analysis and insights.
- Sign off on monthly/quarterly reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Generate comprehensive reports with detailed analysis on a monthly/quarterly basis, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Review, sign off, and submit collections and advice documents to brokers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Assist with Profit Commission, No Claims Bonus reviews, and Premium adjustments, providing expert analysis and recommendations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Address reinsurer/broker queries promptly and accurately, including reviewing loss précis and reports, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address questions or concerns, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Review and provide commentary on credit control reports, highlighting problematic losses and reinsurers, and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with reinsurance regulations and policies, ensuring our reinsurance program remains compliant and effective.
- Support reinsurance audit work and preparation, ensuring our reinsurance program remains compliant and effective.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of reinsurance principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to accuracy and numeracy skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships across various functions, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a willingness to improve processes, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
