Job Title: Environmental Enforcement Officer

Join Kingdom Services Group Ltd as an Environmental Enforcement Officer and play a crucial role in maintaining public health, safety, and environmental standards by enforcing environmental laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Environmental Law Enforcement: Enforce environmental regulations and local by-laws relating to littering, fly-tipping, graffiti, waste management, noise pollution, and other environmental concerns.
  • Patrol and Investigation: Patrol assigned areas to detect violations and ensure compliance with environmental laws. Investigate reports of environmental offenses from the public and respond promptly to complaints.
  • Issuing Fines and Notices: Issue fixed penalty notices (FPNs) and citations to individuals or businesses for non-compliance with environmental laws. Prepare and serve legal documents, including warning notices and fines, in accordance with local laws.
Investigation and Reporting:
  • Environmental Offense Investigation: Investigate environmental offenses such as illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles, and unlawful waste disposal by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing case files.
  • Surveillance and Evidence Collection: Use surveillance equipment, including cameras, to monitor and collect evidence of environmental crimes.
  • Reporting and Collaboration: Report findings to senior management and collaborate with legal teams to pursue prosecutions when necessary.
Court Proceedings and Legal Support:
  • Case Preparation: Prepare case files for prosecution, including collecting evidence, photographs, and witness statements.
  • Court Attendance: Attend court proceedings and present evidence as required to support legal action against environmental offenders.
Requirements:
  • Communication: Express information clearly and concisely to ensure understanding.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to change and work effectively in various situations and weather conditions.
  • Learning and Development: Participate in our training course to gain insight into daily duties, current legislation, communication, and interaction aspects of the role, earning a recognized qualification in environmental awareness.
