Job Summary

Moog is seeking an experienced Assembly and Test Technician to join our team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tewkesbury. As a key member of our commercial Aircraft Group, you will be responsible for carrying out Assembly and Test tasks on Moog products.

This role involves cleaning and preparing parts for assembly, building and testing Moog products, and performing diagnostic tests to verify product quality. You will also be responsible for disassembling products to carry out rework, flow matching operations, and wire locking/labelling/finishing techniques.

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual who can produce high-quality work and progress their own work through to final inspection. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be skilled at following instructions.

This is a permanent afternoon shift position, with a 3-month training period. The working hours are Monday and Tuesday - 2pm to 9.15pm, Wednesday and Thursday - 2pm to 9.30pm, and Friday am to 7.30pm. In addition to an excellent basic salary, this role includes a shift allowance.

Key Skills

We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a similar role in a production environment, preferably in the aerospace industry. You will need to demonstrate competent use of a range of relevant hand tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.

The successful candidate will have completed an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, or have gained this knowledge through considerable work experience. You will also need to demonstrate diagnostic skills and the ability to understand basic Servo valve Operations.

We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter and can work independently, with a strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data. The successful candidate will also be required to complete an eye test.
