Unlock Your Potential as a Senior Ecologist at Ground Control
Ground Control's Professional Services department is seeking a highly motivated and commercially savvy Senior Ecologist to join our in-house Ecology Consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to expand your skill set and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional ecological services.
About the Role:
- Conduct UK Habitat Classification Surveys and protected species surveys with precision and accuracy;
- Develop and manage complex tenders and fee quotations with speed and efficiency;
- Produce high-quality technical reports, including PEA reports, BNG reports, protected species reports, Habitat Management Plans, BREEAM reports, HRAs, and EcIAs;
- Lead medium to large-sized projects, ensuring timely financial progress and effective team management;
- Line manage junior ecologists, providing guidance and support for their growth and development;
- Solve logistical and legislative challenges with creativity and expertise.

Requirements:
- Membership in the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (Associate level or higher);
- A relevant bachelor's degree (or higher);
- At least one protected species license;
- Personal Track Safety accreditation (desirable);
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines;
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in technical reporting;
- Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and its application;
- Full UK driving license.
