Freelance Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Estimator to join our team at Fawkes & Reece London, working on high-profile rail and civil engineering projects in London.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for rail and civil engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to gather project data, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  3. Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate the best value for each project, driving cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  4. Identify and mitigate cost-related risks, as well as capitalize on opportunities for each project, ensuring optimal project outcomes.
  5. Present estimates and project costings to senior management, effectively communicating project insights and recommendations.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as an Estimator in rail and civil engineering, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality estimates.
  2. Familiarity with Tier 1 contractor operations and standards, ensuring alignment with our company's values and procedures.
  3. Proficiency in estimating software, enabling efficient and accurate estimate preparation.
