Job Role

We are currently looking for a Casual Nursery Worker to join our team at Wishing Tree Day Nursery in Brighton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a positive practice role model, ensuring equality of access and opportunity for all staff, parents, and children, and contributing to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support children at all times
  • Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified Practitioners
  • Read, understand, and implement all company policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Ensure that any changes to policies, procedures, and operational practices are adhered to within the required timescale
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage
  • Notify your line manager of any concerns or issues regarding company policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors, and work colleagues
  • Ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained
  • Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings, and undertake training as required
